Fibroblast

Fibroblast treatment therapy is an aesthetic procedure we now offer at Volaré Esthetics by Kali as an alternative to laser, injections, or surgical procedures in order to tighten and improve the appearance and tone of your skin.

Fibroblast therapy targets fibroblasts. These are collagen– and protein-producing cells in the dermis, the layer of skin just below your outermost skin layer. This therapy uses a pen-like device called Plasma Fibroblast Pen that discharges a high-frequency electric current to small areas of the skin. The Plasma Pen is an FDA approved device used to perform fibroblast therapy and we use the state-of-the-art Plamere Plasma Pen Pro for all our Fibroblast treatments.

What are the benefits of fibroblast therapy?

• Encourages tissue regeneration and promotes tissue contraction (tightening)
• Tattoo removal
• Removal of benign lesions (such as skin tags, sunspots, xanthelasma)
• Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, uneven coloration, sagging skin on your neck or tummy

How Fibroblast Works

As we get older, the dermal layer of our skins becomes thin and less collagen is produced, the elasticity wears out and these changes cause the skin to form wrinkles, sag, lose laxity and texture.

With the Plasma Pen device, it is designed to help dramatically repair and reverse all these effects and produce a youthful appearance.

The skin tightens and rejuvenates and the production of collagen begins. Fine lines and wrinkles disappear and your skin is “lifted”. It does not remove fat.

Skin Injury

After the initial trauma injury to the skin, the tiny “dots” will begin to crust. These crusts are from the excess skin drying superficially and fall off into tiny flakes generally within 3-6 days. When trauma is applied to the skin, increased levels of type 3 Collagen is produced and this process continues for weeks and months after the original treatment.

How Long Does This Treatment Last?

On average Plasma Lift/Fibroblast treatments typically last from 30 minutes and longer for larger areas. The positive effects of this treatment can last a few years (typically 2-3 years), however it is sometimes up to a few factors and the individual including but not limited to; aftercare protocol, genetics, lifestyle, and sun exposure. It is known and proven that Plasma Lifting/Fibroblast helps repair that skin by mitigating the aging process.

Plamere Plasma Pen Technology

  • Plamere Plasma Pen Pro (PPP) is our newest fibroblast device that harnesses the power of plasma, a fourth state matter (Solid, Liquid, Gas, Plasma), to help reduce or eliminate certain skin conditions and concerns, such as wrinkles, fine lines, moles, skin tags, etc.

  • The Plamere Plasma Pen is an FDA approved device used to perform fibroblast therapy. This method can be used to treat multiple areas of concern without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Before & After

Frequently Asked Questions

Avoid exercising immediately after a treatment, as any heat, steam or sweat can add to inflammation and disturb dots. Do not use any pools, hot tubs or saunas until after the dots have fallen. No Picking or Friction on Scabs! Prematurely removing scabs may result in scarring and discoloration.

It will take 12 weeks for healing process to cycle through completely and for skin to be refreshed and for healing to complete. The most tightening and lifting happens in weeks 6 -8. Temporary swelling is normal due to the fact that the area will be recovering from a deliberate controlled wound.

Some people may see benefits from one treatment, while others may require three treatments before they see results.

Ideally you want to avoid excessive sweating for 5-7 days during the healing process. We recommend you do not wear makeup in the area treated during the 5-7 day healing process because the application and/or removal of makeup could prematurely disrupt the scabs before they are ready to flake off.

Treatment with autologous fibroblast was associated with statistically significantly greater improvement in acne scar appearance than vehicle control in the treatment of moderate to severe acne scarring based on the live subject and evaluator responder analysis and three independent photographic reviewer assessments.

While this cosmetic procedure does not directly cause scarring, scarring after plasma pen treatment can still occur. This is why it is so important to take good care of your skin during plasma pen recovery. Follow these tips to ensure the best possible outcomes: Keep the treated area clean and dry.

We recommend NOT exercising straight after treatment because any heat, steam, or sweat could add to the inflammation already present. Ideally, you want to avoid excessive sweating for 5-7 days during the healing process.
